PhotoAlp Arvier. On 4 August, a photo exhibition dedicated to the Tour du Rutor, one of the most spectacular ski mountaineering races in the Alps, will open in the streets of the village.
Many of the images were taken in 2022 as a souvenir of the 2020 Millet Tour du Rutor Extreme, which last year also provided the backdrop for the World Long Distance Ski Mountaineering Pairs Championship. The 20th edition of the ski-mountaineering race - the only Italian stage in 2022 of La Grande Course, the international circuit of the most prestigious races in the entire Alpine arc and the Pyrenean mountain range - took place between the municipalities of Arvier, Valgrisenche and La Thuile. As well as being a technical race, it is also an opportunity for many mountain enthusiasts to rediscover authentic places.PhotoAlp Arvier.
