Mail Press N. 8 – Another epic leg won by Eydallin – Boscacci & Roux – Mollaret

The rain at the finishing line, the snow, the fog and the low visibility at high altitude made this second leg of Millet Tour du Rutor Extrême intense and hard-fought. In spite of the fatigue  accumulated from the first leg, the athletes competed at a high speed, offering strong emotions to the  many supporters who hiked up to follow the most exciting parts of the race. Marco Camandona and its staff were able to propose a suggestive itinerary in the Arp-Vieille area with 4 uphills (2200 D+) and downhills that were even more challenging given the condition of the snow.


The leaders Michele Boscacci – Matteo Eydallin won also this leg in 2h32’03″. Second place again for the Swiss Remi Bonnet – Martin Anthamatten in 2h34’18. Third place for the French Bon Mardion – Gachet (5’53” from the winners).


Again, no big surprises for the women’s race with the second victory of Axelle Mollaret – Laetitia Roux (3h18’30”) who are now leading the rank with 9’53”  of advantage on the Swiss Jennifer Fiechter – Séverine Pont Combe who today ended up second in 3h21’45”. Third place  for the Italians Elena Nicolini – Laura Besseghini (3h24’33”).

Juniors’ and Cadets’ race:

Intense and hard-fought also the race of the young with a switch at the top of the rank among the juniors. Simon Bellabouvier – Samuel Equy won today with an advantage of 1’12” on Davide Magnini – Nicolò Canclini. Third place confirmed for Fabio Pettinà – Enrico Loss. Among the girls second victory for   Melanie Ploner – Giorgia Felicetti who preceded Elisa Pedrolini – Alessia Re  and Silvia Rivero – Martina Sirigu.  

With regards to the Cadets Sébastien e Fabien Guichardaz won again, delighting their numerous supporters, preceding  Giovanni Rossi – Marcello Muscetti  abd Alessandro Gadola – Federico Gusmeroli. Among the girls the French Marie Borriglione – Justine Tonso won.
